Description
An opportunity to lease a former corn mill, thought to have been built over three floors in 1829. The mill closed in 1893 and more recently was adapted for use as a telecommunications tower in the 1990s, serving the centre of the Island, and is now vacant.
Standing at approximately 12m high and with an internal diameter of approximately 5.7m, the property is Grade II listed and is of traditional stone construction. The property has been gutted internally with the roof removed to make way for recently fitted galvanised steel ladders, walkway (approximately 5m high) and top platform (approximately 10.5m high) with two poles to mount antennae to serve its use as a telecommunications tower. The property is secured by a steel door. The building may be considered suitable for use as a telecommunications tower.

Directions and Access
From the B5420, take the first left onto Bron Dinas estate. Proceed to the top of the estate.
A right of way will be granted whereby a vehicle may access the gate at the western elevation (Ysbyty Cefni Hospital side). The last 25m or thereabout will need to be accessed on foot.
The right of way will include a 4m radius around the property (shown hatched brown on the plan).

Lease Terms
A five-year protected lease will be offered on a full repairing and insuring basis. The applicant will be responsible for the Council’s legal fee in preparing the lease, which will be in the region of £640.
